So i'm not supposed to be on the comp now, but i simply HAVE to update about the Muse concert.
Obviously you can guess that it's friggin awesome :D
Well it was just good for me. But that's only coz i don't know like 70% of the songs so while the audience was going crazy and jumping up and down and singing the song, i was just standing there with a O.o expression and turning to my mum and asking what song it was and yeah.Other than that, it was brilliant.
annoying. >=O
i needed more time to 'revise' the lyrics!! rawr.
Here's the story:
After all the nonsense rushing here and there and all after school and after sleeping for one hour and waking up at about 6pm, i went to get ready at about 7pm plus.
I decided to wear my glasses because if i wore my contacts, i might not be able to see as clearly as if i wore glasses. And i let my hair down and wore a white hairband, and this slightly tight orange roxy shirt that i bought when i was primary 6 [good news because i usually can't fit into stuff which i bought like, 1 or 2 years ago.]and a pair of jeans.
AND this is the stupid part- i thought it was going to rain so i brought an umbrella and i wore a white sweater over my tight shirt,in case it would rain but mainly coz i needed something to cover my very unsightly blubber. in the end, i looked so geeky.
packed the umbrella and a camera and tissues into a bag and went downstairs.
as usual, my family and i just CAN'T get ready on time, so by the time my mother and father got ready it was like 8.05pm already. [the concert started at 8.00pm]
and my stupid brother, who konon-konon 'wanted to stay home to study because he has o-levels this year', followed in the end. he insists it was because my mother forced him to follow, but whatever lah -_-
so it was a loong drive to fort canning park, about 25 minutes. 8.30pm ftw!
heard music coming from inside the gates already so we were like, aiyah started already.but the weird thing was, how can ANY rock band possibly be on time?
my brother fortunately could get a ticket. yes, despite being half an hour late, the bozo could actually get a ticket. then we went in and mum asked how long the concert had started and they said half an hour and we were like
O.O wth.
but heehaw, turns out it was just this cover-up band playing a gig before muse actually came on.
then, some muse merchandise being sold caught our eyes and we decided to stop by for a while to check it out.
THEN THE REAL MUSE CAME ON AND EVERYONE WAS CHEERING AND WE WERE LIKE ?o.o? until the man selling the merchandise said that muse had already came on. pffft.
stopped buying stuff and went to join the crowd. i didn't recognise the first song but according to my brother it was Knights of Cydonia.
First thing i realised- Matthew Bellamy is freaking SKINNY. And he was wearing this nice white short-sleeved shirt and this very very cool white scarf thinger as his belt so whenever he jumped around it will like move here and there, so creatively cool. :D
Second thing i realised- Whenever the drummer hits the drums, he does it so loudly and.. painfully. literally! you can feel the vibration and it makes your heart beat really fast coz i guess your heart just wants to have the same pace as the drums. at first i thought i was going to die of heart attack or something HAHAHHA ok whatever -_-
Third thing i realised-The bassist was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt and a white tie. tsk, tak panas or what man.
Fourth " " " [i'm tired of typing it out]- THERE WAS A FOURTH GUY! but couldn't really see lah. he was hidden behind the drums and i couldn't see from where i was standing. he was on synthesizers [sp?]
then they went on performing and lalalala i've got some piccies/videos :D
First song, Knights of Cydonia:
[sorry if the video is cut at every scene, my cam is a low-quality gay]
And i'm so goddamned amazed with matt [haha matt -_-]. The dude can jump up and down, and still sings as good or even better than in the CD! i mean wth, already it's hard enough to sing as good or better than what you sound like in the CD live, but to JUMP UP AND DOWN and RUN AROUND and still have the same voice which doesn't even shake? If you jump up and down and try to sing, your voice will shake.
BUT MATT'S DOESN'T!! =O
I thought it was lipsync at first, but i could hear him turning softer when his head moved back and forth from the mike, so obviously it was live. Amazing. That shows you the calibre [sp?] of his singing man.
AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HIS GUITARING AND PIANO! IT'S AWESOME! Pretty ironic coz he was playing heavy metal guitaring but his voice is so classical and high and all, it's like wow.
AND HIS PIANO! WAHHHH. On 'feeling good', his piano was awesome. And 'Sunburn' as well.

Starting of Map of the Problematique-
Map of the Problematique:" ...And I feel like everything I saw is being swept away.."-

OOH and halfway throughout the concert, i was feeling weird coz my MOTHER was singing and screaming louder than me and was jumping more energetically than me, and my brother and father were nowhere to be seen. Turns out those two dudes were stoning at one corner. -_-
AND OMG SO ANNOYING-So i wanted to take pics of them performing certain songs and stuff, but my camera was full of bullshit pictures and my card was full so i had to constantly delete pictures, and then they stopped playing the song and i couldn't bloody take a pic of them. -_-

Here's a one/two second video of Supermassive Black Hole. [pssh, card was running out of space.]-
And OMG would you believe it? The crowd was more excited for the song 'Time is Running Out' than Supermassive black hole like WOW. Coz black hole is a new song, so i had expected them to be more energetic during that song you see
hehe.
AND I LOVE THE SONG 'New Born' AND 'Bliss' AND MANY OTHERS.
Starlight was absolutely awesome. I reallyyyy love that song.
k, continue tmr. i think that's my parents i heard. bb!
